About Me
I was born and raised in St. Albert and Edmonton. I love to play sports (especially hockey) and stay active. I have an extensive background in the residential construction business. My Dad has a home contracting business and after school and on weekends I would often help him out. As hard as I would try, I could never match his skills in this area, even though I had every opportunity to learn — I mean Dad is quite the handyman. He had every tool imaginable and used them to remodel the house, fix cars, anything mechanical etc.; He can build a home from scratch. You would have thought that I would have at least picked up something - through pure osmosis, but not so much. What I did gain from this exposure, however, was a great appreciation for real estate value; I can definitely tell you if a home has been built properly.
I realized that pursuing a career in the trades was not for me, so I decided to try the academic route and go to University. I attended Grant MacEwan College and played hockey in the ACAC and then transferred to the University of Alberta; there I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.
My Real Estate Background
After graduating from University I decided to follow my passion for real estate. I started my career at a big commercial real estate firm specializing in industrial properties. The corporate and stiff environment was not to my liking. I’ve always believed you that should enjoy what you do and so a transition over to residential real estate with Coldwell Banker Johnston was an easy decision!
